Requirements

  • Linux or Mac OS X system capable of running PostgreSQL 8.3 or higher and Java 1.5 or higher
  • Plenty of disk space (1TB+ recommended for high volume and/or long term analysis capabilities)

Open Source Release 0.3 (8/20/2010)

The focus of v0.3 was code cleanup and refactoring. The new codebase is more streamline and maintainable. New features for this release:

  • Log processing plugin example using Apache Solr for full text indexing and search
  • Additional log format support, commercial and open source
  • Web interface bug fixes and performance improvements
  • Optional Auto-delete feature lets the user specify how long to keep around logs

Open Source Release 0.2 (9/19/2009)

Open Source Release 0.2 includes the following updates from the version 0.1 open source release:

  • New plugin-based architecture allows for adhoc log processing tools to be deployed on demand
  • 3-5 times processing improvement over previous releases for many operations
  • Streamlined installation process
  • Server and web interface configuration improvements

Open Source Release 0.1 (5/13/2009)

Open Source Release 0.1 includes the following updates from the version 1.1 commercial release:

  • No record limit (commercial version 1.1 limits to 1 million events/day)
  • Open source codebase (released under GPL v2.0)
  • Improved event type support
  • Better scalability and performance
